Responsibilities:

  1. Serving as chief advisor to ASUNM President
  2. Managing and overseeing the Executive Cabinet
  3. Attending administrative meetings in conjunction with the President, or in their absence
  4. Overseeing matters pertaining to the Office of the President
  5. Assisting in fulfilling internal student government responsibilities, as the president deems appropriate

Ria Schultz

Director of Communications

Responsibilities:

  1. Running all social media for various events for Senate, the executive branch, and sometimes agencies
  2. Creating visual marketing campaigns
  3. Updating and renovating the ASUNM Websites
  4. Creating contacts with the media, Daily Lobo, etc. through the form of press releases and other media contact
  5. Serving as an advisor to the president on external matters
  6. Working with the Outreach and Events Committee as a non-voting member

Gabriela Grado

Director of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion

Responsibilities:

  1. Providing guidance to the Executive, Judicial, and Legislative branches on inclusivity initiatives, innovations, and representation.
  2. Working with the Division of Equity and Inclusion and UNM Resource and Ethnic Centers to ensure ASUNM events, scholarships, correspondence, and governing documents are inclusive to all students.
  3. Regularly reporting to and attending, Joint Council meetings.
  4. Arranging regular training opportunities in diverse subject matter for employees and elected members of ASUNM.

Hilaria Barragan

Attorney General

Responsibilities:

  1. Issuing advisory opinions concerning the law, legislation, or any other act of ASUNM when requested
  2. Providing a current copy of the Constitution and Law Book at the request of any individual or group
  3. Assisting the President in the execution of their duties
  4. Serving as an ex-officio, non-voting member of the Senate and its Standing Committees
  5. Providing advice and counsel concerning all acts of ASUNM when requested to do so
  6. Providing counsel for the government in all suits against them
  7. Updating and distributing the Constitution for the purpose of engrossing any Constitutional Amendments as passed by ASUNM and approved by the UNM Board of Regents
  8. Codifying of the Law Book in consultation with the President and the Vice President

Sydney Moore

Deputy Chief of Staff

Responsibilities:

  1. Assisting the President and Chief of Staff with both internal or external duties
  2. Managing university board and committee applications and write progress reports reports
  3. Attending administrative meetings in conjunction with the President and Chief of Staff, or in their absence
  4. Supporting ASUNM agency events and initiatives

Responsibilities:

  1. Soliciting undergraduate student applications to be considered for appointment to University agencies, boards, committees, and commissions
  2. Recommending appointees to the President to serve on University agencies, boards, committees, and commissions
  3. Gathering agendas and reports from ASUNM appointments to University agencies, boards, committees, and commissions
  4. Preparing a report to be delivered at Full Senate meetings
  5. Managing the ASUNM Committees and Boards email account.

Diego Ruiz

Director of Student Org. Relations

Responsibilities:

  1. Existing as a liaison and the primary point of contact between ASUNM, UNM's chartered student organizations, the Student Activities Center, and the Student Government Accounting Office
  2. Maintaining expertise of the processes and procedures of chartering and re-chartering, requesting ASUNM budgets and appropriations, and general information on how to operate a student organization
  3. Attending all Outreach and Events Committee and Joint Council meetings as an ex-officio, nonvoting member
  4. Bring forward student organization concerns and feedback to the President, Vice President and the Full Senate.

Feleecia Guilen

Director of Environmental Affairs

Responsibilities:

  1. Advancing sustainability initiatives within ASUNM and on the UNM campus at large
  2. Existing as a liaison between ASUNM and the UNM Sustainability Department
  3. Collaborating with Community Experience to execute and expand sustainability initiatives
  4. Working alongside Governmental Affairs to develop sustainability-related legislative priorities
  5. Advising the President and the Full Senate on decisions regarding the sustainability of ASUNM practices.

Lillian Walker 

Director of Student Wellness

Responsibilities:

  1. Existing as a liaison between ASUNM and institutional resources such as the Lobo Food Pantry, Agora Crisis Center, the Accessibility Resource Center; LoboRESPECT, and the Dean of Students, among others
  2. Advising the President on areas in need of greater support to improve student wellness on campus
  3. Attending all Outreach and Events Committee meetings as an ex-officio, nonvoting member
  4. Working alongside Governmental Affairs to develop student wellness-related 10 legislative priorities
  5. Advancing ASUNM efforts to address student basic needs through the implementation of innovative policies and programming to prioritize student support.
